The World of Naiyala...Enter If You Dare...
Mainly, this is just poetry. All of the poems posted I have written myself. Comments are greatly appreciated as long as they are not vulgar, rude, crude, or harrassing...
My Soul, My Friend

Is she alive
Or is she dead?
This is the question
That goes through my head.

I love her dearly
And even more so.
And this is why
I wish to know.

She was a great friend
Almost like a sister.
I want her to know
That I truly miss her.

I want her to know
No matter how far apart
she will always be
A part of my heart.

And now, my sister,
My soul, my friend.
Are you alive
Or are you dead?

Well, I don't know if you actually read these, but I wanted to say, this poem is very touching, meaningful, honest, and right from the soul. If I may be so bold as to ask, who is this girl? your friend, sister, and dear shoulder to rest your weary head upon? Whoever it is, I must admit you feel very dearly for them, for their is great passion in your words. I think the poem is simple, but it holds great meaning. Kind of like old console RPGs, fantasy, science fiction, and anime does for me. Weird connection I know, but really, I believe friendship is the greatest thing life has for us. I always wanted my own Ron and Hermione Granger but I never managed to find them. Sad as that is, I've been searching my whole life for true friends, never really finding them. I hope whoever this person is, does not fade away in your life, admittedly I think that's what you were writing about. A friend slipping away, crossing the threshold of this world into nothingess. Or to be less spiritually vague, they are slowly but surely becoming apart from you and slowly breaking the bonds of friendship, something which seems to give you great pain. I can feel for you, it does hurt when we lose friends. Anyhow, I think the poem was really nice, touching, and made me feel good to know, at least one person out there has those same feelings.

    Merry Christmas,

    -Chris

Actually, you are half right. The person is and will always be a dear friend to me. But sadly, the poem is wholeheartedly truthful in wordly meanings. My friend has stomach and colon cancer and I haven't heard any news about her well being for more than a year now. This is the reason for the question that repetitively goes through my head.
