Character Profile: Sakotai Torianil |

After getting a fistful of revelation crammed up my brain stem(and finding a nifty little format for a profile, courtesy of Ryoushen Finari~), I've finally decided to go and get Miss Fire Goddess down and set in stone. XP Now, before the 'Goddess' part is ridiculed as being an uber-Sue trait, I'll explain that Sako's been hanging around in my head for six, if not seven years now. She's been through many changes, but what is written here is what I've decided is her permanent, legitimate form. So! Here we go!
Name: Sakotai Torianil
Age: ...a lot? She hasn't bothered to keep track since her third reincarnation.
Race: Deltonian(long story short, a humanoid of magical birth, borne from the ground and imbued with the same earth they came from; this leads to some very interesting skin pigmentation -- Sakotai happens to be a very vibrant magenta, which is odd since her brother is a bright emerald green and they were 'born' in the same place)
Occupation: Lei Dakoni na Heiin, or "Mana Goddess of Flames" -- The "goddess" part is a formality, but after intense practice and learning, she's learned how to manipulate heat and fire through basic Spellweaving and abbreviated ritual dancing(which she has mastered over the centuries).
Appearance: 4' 4", looks like she should be in the 100-130lb. range(but is actually around 170), black 'hair' ending just at her shoulders, green eyes... Deltonians have little to no muscle definition, and Sakotai is no different, her physique smooth and slender.
Attire: She tends to favor leathers and earth-tones for clothing, but will occasionally find a trend she likes and adopt it(one of her more well-known fads consisted of short-shorts, fur-lined 'biker coats', and leg warmers). For rituals, she dons an elaborate outfit of sheer pink and white silks, adorned with flower petals of every shape and size in varying hues of red and pink with opalescent pink, petal-like 'wings' on the back(think the door petal things in the Fayth chambers in FFX, only scaled down).
Magical Skills --
Spellweaving: Highly Skilled ('Spellweaving' is a method of spellcasting that involves intricate, flowing hand gestures and melodic chanting)
Eminitio ni Dakoi, or "Word of a Deity": Master ('Word of a Deity' is a method of mind-affecting spellcasting that involves the calling of commands in Deltonian while visualizing the intended affect -- deceptively simple, but extremely taxing on the few who can perform it, as the caster's inner energy reserves are drained if the command comes to pass)
Ritual Dancing: Unparalleled; focused in Fire (Ritual Dancing is exactly what it sounds like, dancing performed as part of a ritual. Sakotai's version of it, however, is unique in that she's found a way to use forceful, quick sequences of moves(much like breakdancing) to cast spells and manipulate her chosen element on the fly)
Planar Travel: Adequate (she's still getting the hang of it; there've been a few indicents that could easily be used as blackmail material, or at least a decent laugh on the Multiverse's Funniest Videos)
Background: (severely abridged due to unresolved plot holes) Sakotai was born, along with her brother Mitsukan, into the Torianil lineage in the Telra district of the city of Hionalta. The Torianil family, known for their long line of great military minds, found itself shaken, stirred, and turned upside down upon the discovery of a Lei Dakoni in their ranks, especially one so inadequate as Sakotai. This inevitably led to a good deal of hardship for the young Deltonian, along with a life of nearly constant ritual study and worship. The years dragged on by, Sakotai living the dutiful life of a priestess(and acting as a tour guide for insterstellar travellers on the side), the world turned, and everything seemed well and good for a great handful of decades. But as the world turns, so does the great Cycle of life -- after her trials and tribulations, Sakotai ascended alongside the other three Dei Lakoni to her respective Corner of the Upper Plane. As fate would have it, the very year she left the mortal world was the year it would be ravaged, nearly destroyed. Already upset by having to depart the company of her only family, Sakotai threw herself from the empyrean realm and descended to the Deltonian surface, lashing out at the oppressing evil that dared to threaten her planet. Alignment: Chaotic Good?
Weapons: Sakotai doesn't usually carry weapons; she prefers to either go hand-to-hand or use her spellcasting abilities to fend off assailants. Once in a blue moon, she'll be seen using a simple dagger or knife, but not much else.
Armor: Also not much in this category -- while being half-stone, the nature of her biological makeup doesn't lend itself towards providing natural armor. It -is- harder to get in a cutting or piercing wound than it would be on a normal, armorless human, but she's still very much vulnerable to such injury.
