I initially posted it in a thread in the Q&F, which some of you may have seen. First, someone said how most old rich users are elitists, someone accused him of stereotyping, and then this lovely little lady posted the following.

"many" not all, but "many" of the older users or users with hellacious gold out of the ying yang act stuck up, and are in every sense of the word, elitist pricks
Honestly, I've had it up to my eyeballs with this type of attitude. There are PLENTY of us who are old and "rich" or whatever who are being seriously hurt by this. I can't help but take it personally. I try my best to be nice, but apparently most of Gaia can't look past my "good" items. Isn't this just as bad as misjudging people for their peasant pants?

If Gaia was only about the talking, we wouldn't HAVE avatars. It's part of the fun, and this whole "it's not about the gold and items" sentiment is entirely misguided. If it wasn't, there wouldn't be gold and items.
Yes, I have over 300 items. Yes, I have over 550 000 gold. I still help anyone who needs it here in the Q&F, regardless of their flame pants or halo, I still reply to every inane random PM I get (assuming it's not spam or vulgarity), and I still judge everyone I come across on post content, not on items. I'm sick and bloody tired of this "rich old gaian = crabby old elitist" nonsense. It's really starting to hurt my feelings. Some of us try and try and try to be nice, and all we get in return is crap. ;_;

I know some people who might read this are participating, and that's fine. This journal is only open to my friends, and I have enough faith in anyone on that list to know that you're doing it for good reasons, not bad ones. So this rant was in no means directed at any of you.
