Seems I haven't updated in awhile, not that theres anybody reading this anyways. Not that I care, I'll just add more. Maybe there will be one kind sould out there that will read this and comment maybe? That would make me happy!
So today I was the lucky hostess that got to be Red! For those of you who don't know Red is our mascot. So things went as usual, I said hi to all my adoring 5 year old fans, scared some babies and was going up front to greet the customers. I usually do this so the other hostesses will tell if there is any little kids afraid of me somewhere.
Getting that over with I waved to some customers, when THEY come in. Yes THEY, anybody else whos been a mascot should know what I'm talking about. For those who don't know, some kids are nice and a little shy, some kids are frightened, but these guys scare all mascots to death. Yes them, the kids that decide that abusing a giant plushie animal is funny.
I for one, being a giant plushie animal, do not find this funny as, I end up with a migrane and several large bruises after the experience. Ok so back to when the little monsters came in.
I waved to them offered them hugs, not expecting the up comming abuse. there was six of them total varying in ages from 4 probably to around 8. I got a few hugs, then they wanted to dance with me, 'ok nothing wrong with that' I thought. so we danced, and it started. the kids began to whirl me around to the point were I having issues keeping my balance, then once that ended they decided my beak was a drum so they all pounded on that for about five minutes. Two of them tried to tackle me, and I coulda sworn I got kicked a few times. So my buddy (the girl who follows me around to make sure I don't run into anything.) finnaly drags me out of the whole mess and says: "Okay guys! Red has to go to bed now!" and we left.

. Took her long enough.
No I didn't get revenge this time, I was sitting in the back trying to figure out what the hell just happened. but next time, next time I'll get my revenge on them I swear it! And to add insult to life threating injury when I came back out the windows were completely smudged from there grubby little hands.
Damn you little kids! Damn you!

just.. random stuff i think of to write.. nothing special.. maybe some venting on occasion but thats about it. oh yes.. and my *epic* adventuring in my new job as a hostess at red robin!
