I feel like being on Gaia but everything is a bit dull right now for me. This happens once in a while and I usually go elsewhere. But I've been elsewhere and now I've come back.

Anyway... I don't know about you, but I've noticed the admins have been on a lot lately. VO made an announcement a few days ago about the fishing trophy winners, so that kind've explains why he's been on. Jakobo just made a post in his Gaia journal about an hour ago talking a bit about what he's been up to, so that explains him, but the others...

Wishful thinking tells me it's the housing system since Lanzer mentioned it in one of his more recent diary entry. So I'm thinking, "hey, they must be having some fun testing it." Hopefully Lanzer's mention of wanting to say a little more means we'll get a preview page(ala the fishing game before release) soon or he'll have a buttload of new info to post real soon.

Whatever it is, their presence always makes me think their up to something.

Meanwhile...

I've been thinking quite a bit of the fishing game. From what I understand, there will be other fishing locations. I dunno. Could be wrong, but, that's been getting me to thinking of what kinds of fish we might see in these other areas.

So, here's my list of what I would like to see:
Salmon (I catch the trout and keep thinking there should be salmon)
Squid (how cool would that be.)
Sharks (especially hammerhead. That'd be awesome)
Carp
Bottles (Yes, more junk, but cool junk.)
River (Ok, we have ocean, lake, and resivour[sort of] areas. We need a river. I keep imagining one East of Barton, cause that'd be a great place for one)
Catfish (That'd actually be pretty cool)
Mudskippers
Crabs (and/or other shellfish)

That's it for fishing. I'd also like to see a new game out soon.(only so long you can obsess on fish) I'd love to see a Tetris clone. I know it's not very original, but how can you have a site with games without a Tetris clone? I mean, seriously...

And I don't want to see the mining game being that Tetris clone. I try to imagine how the mining game will be and I draw a blank. Basing judgement off the fishing game, it should be pretty decent.

I question the casino games. I mean, I can see a whole slew of problems with those. Very easily, I could see people becoming a bit addicted, wasting away their gold in a sad attempt to win the big jackpot. Then people will surely whine about the casino being, not just a waste, but a massive waste of gold. I just think they should be real careful about that one, considering the average user age.

I was thinking they should have a shooter type game, not necessarily first person, but one would be good. And then puzzle games. I love puzzle games. Plus, there needs to be an arcade. A new building(in one of the next new towns) completely independant of the casino that has a bunch of your basic arcade games.

So there you go, my thoughts on the future of Gaia. It'd be cool if I could see one of these things soon. whee Or, hell, something else I haven't thought of that's big and flashy(as opposed to something in the background or something forum related).
