A Rambling Friend
The people of Earth go about their daily lives enjoying their happy little existence unaware of the devastating war raging of their ruling Star*.
For there, at the center of their solar system, dwells a race divided from its very beginnings into Light and Dark. It is said that if they cease fighting, their world will self destruct. These creatures may look like beasts of Earth, but such is not the case. They appear as Earth's native mammals yet they have wings and the power to control the mighty element Fire. They are virtually indestructable, surviving travel through the pressures of space and dwelling confortably on their own burning home.
A strange phenomenon is the cause of their age old division. Each creature is born a twin: one Light, one Dark. Each side battles for dominance of the Star, for the only thing that can harm these creatures is their twin.
The Star lives in a state of monarchy. Their royalty are Wolves, for the kings of beasts we know were conquered long ago. Their nobility are various other Canines. Other creatures have a choice in their profession, though their occupations tend to echo their Animal's nature.
