So I talked about the rules that I have to follow in order to make a profit at Cards, but I never said what they were! They're pretty easy actually:
First, I have to follow the same rules as the Dealer. That is, always hit on anything 16 or less. I know that at 16 its a 50-50 shot of getting something that would help, but at 17 the scales tip pretty dramatically in favor of busting out.
Second is that it doesn't matter (as I have since discovered) what my bet amount is. If I win it doubles, if I blackjack it triples. Playing one coin at a time only lengthens the game, and that isn't something that I need when I'm playing 1k (or more depending on the Daily Chance) tokens at a time.
Third, I double down on a 10 or 11 and those only. There's a better than 50% chance that the card will be an 8, 9, or 10, and sometimes I'll even get the A I need. Thats pretty hard for the dealer to beat.
Fourth - why cheat? You can't cheat in real life, and really, if you follow the other rules there isn't a need. It doesn't matter what the dealer has showing. If you're 17 or over you stop. The only exception is when you're on a push. If there's a Push its okay because then you know what you're looking for to win. If the deal has 21 you HAVE to get 21 to keep playing and so on.
Russell Ace's cheat is "Pocket Ace". He'll use it any time both cards make ten or less. Sometimes he'll use it even though it won't help him, just to show off. When you beat him, he'll give you 25 tickets. Jinx uses "Fresh Start" which gives her a new set of starting cards. I'm not sure what the parameters for using Fresh Start are, only that Jinx is much smarter about it that Ace is. When you beat her, she'll give you 50 tickets. Cardbot has acess to both and gives you 100 tickets for beating it. That also starts the cycle over, but sadly you don't earn extra tickets for whomping Ace twice....
