Yes, I listen to Evanescence. No, I'm not saying they're the greatest ever, nor am I telling you to listen to them, so shut up, okay?

Charming, non? Even more charming when you realize this particular portion could be a plea for death rather than a plea for help. It's really not all that hard to twist this into a suicidal cry, particularly "bid my blood to run" which I interpreted as a reference either to cutting one's wrists, or to various other less-than-pleasant deaths involving stabbing or slicing. Disembowling being particularly nasty, but quite effective. A stab to the heart or lungs also works. Thought I personally think it's best interpreted as a reference to cutting one's wrists or throat.
As for the rest of that portion... The person involved feels they are on the edge of losing their mind ("before I come undone" wink , that they are worthless ("the nothing I've become" wink . "Wake me up" is used as a metaphor for death. The line "Call my name and save me from the dark" is a plea for somebody around him/her to agree to help in the suicidal design. "Wake me up, I can't wake up, save me" is easiest to interpret in the suicidal message - "I want this all to end, but don't know how to end it myself."
Please note that this is all in my own lovely twisted mind. I do not think that's what the lyrics were meant to represent, and I most certainly do not support suicide or murder.
