Title is a lyric from the song Hold Me Down by Motion City Soundtrack, ya know? How will I break the news to you? I love this song. The music video is also fun to watch, for whatever reason. XD Depending on how you interpret "You hold me down", this lyric applies to me. XD

Five to noon on a Wednesday in August. Tomorrow is Joey's birthday. HAPPY ALMOST BIRTHDAY JOEY! X3 Present? Done. As a matter of fact, presents :3 I sound like I'm bragging, so I'll stop. I'm not. I'm just sayin'. n_n

So I just finished some chores [folding laundry, cleaning the bird cage, vaccuuming said area, and sweeping the stairs]. Afterwards, I looked through the photo album from the Philippines.
Why?

I wanted to see if I really did look that much like mom.

That's what everyone's been saying, especially after I got mah hair cut. Everyone says I look like mom. I guess that's a compliment. I'm thinking that goes for face structure, facial features, and hair. Oh, except my smile. I smile like a horse. XD I'm guessing it's the hybrid of mom's teeth and smile, and dad's gums. Or something. XD

I'm also taller than mom, booyah. That's not saying much [mom's hella short], but it's an accomplishment for me. Thanks to typical female Asian genetics, I'm very much on the short side. Breaking five feet was an accomplishment. XD I know very few tall Asian girls. It's about... Jesse, Sam, and Tita Cora that are the tall females. Luckily, I'm still growing. My goal is 5"5 [at least, that would make me happy]. But, let's be realistic, as least I'm not as short as mom. XD

I look like her though. XD Smile is smiliar, except mine's like a horse. Eyes, the superawesome almond shape common in Asians. Not too thin like the stereotypical Asian eyes, but the nice almond shape. Dark brown eyes, of course. XD I'm definitely tanner than her though. She was a donya, I was an Ate. I'm pretty sure I have mom's eyebrows, while Ate and Edward have dad's. XD But I think I have a hybrid nose and mouth shape plus size.

And I'm thinking I've got mainly dad's... other characteristics. Aside from his over paranoia [I do my best not to be overly paranoid... most of the time.], I've got the whole smarts gene down. [If you wanna be stereotypical, we can just say it's 'cause I'm Asian. XD] Mom was smart too, though. But mom's got the whole Filipino accent thing, plus broken English on occassion, so... I'll lend my speech to dad. He has no accent. He's very business-like. Uhm, as for my workaholic-ness when it comes to important stuff, plus my need to procrastinate when it comes to those same things, I'm blaming dad. We get our work done, but only when we feel like it. XD

As for my personality, that's a thing all its own. I can be over dramatic or monotone. I'll get pissed off to the point every other word is profane, or I'll be mellow yellow. I'll be the teacher's pet just as soon as I'll give the guy next to me the answer to numbers one to ten. I love sarcasm, but I'll be serious if I have to. I'll drop the situation as soon as I start it. Always different, but never in a BAD way. Well, maybe a little bad. XD

I missed out on a couple of the genes in the family though. Ate and Kuya are very artsy, as is Joy. I'm just skilled on occassion and when I have to be. They do it for fun, I do it if I have to. [I have a tendency to do well in all parts of school except PE. I just do a decent job in gym.] All the cousins have very, very good looks. I'm just kinda here. XD

Bianca said that Me-An looked like me though. XD I'm just thinking it's the eyes. We all have the almond shaped eyes. And I love it. XD

When it comes to the cousins, a lot of them look just like their parents. Well, Tito Larry's family is diverse and large. But Hazel looks just like Kuya Boti, and three outta the four sons have THE swagger. Gotta love it. A lot. XD Kuya has his mom's smile. Tita Linda is awesome, just to throw that in. XD [It's a large, toothy smile, a little evil almost. I absolutely love it. XD] Tin-Tin looks just like her mom. Me-An is a mix of her mom and dad. Bilog has the prettiest eyes of us all, and she looks a little more like her dad than her mom. But Malourie, like her name, takes after her mom. Fatima is THE perfect mix of her mom and dad. Very pretty like her mom. Such a cute child. XD J.L. and Nicoli look like their parents so much. Especially J.L. He looks just like his dad, Tito Glenn. XD John Rick definitely has a large resemblence to Lola Ossing. I'll include Joy and Keith in this. You can just tell that Ninong Chris and Ninang Lily are their parents. They don't look too similiar, but you can just tell. However, Ed doesn't look much like Uncle Ed. I'll just wager he takes after Tita Cora. And I haven't seen Clarissa or Elbert in a while to tell. They're techically not my cousins, but I'll just leave it to how we all act. XD I'm not gonna call any of the balikbayans Kuya or Ate though unless they want me to. But they're definitely NOT going to be called Tito or Tita. Ew, no. XD

And Ate is the only person I'm not going to call her by her name plus the Ate when I'm addressing her. When I'm talking ABOUT her, it's different. I gotta tell myself to call her Ate Caroline, Caroline, Knil, or "my sister", depending on who I'm talking about. Same goes with Kuya. When I'm addressing him or talking to him, it's simply Kuya. But if I'm talking about him [when not in a blog], I gotta remind myself to say "my Kuya", "my cousin", Kuya Daryl, or Daryl, depending on who I'm talking to.

I develop different habits too. XD

And mom's home. LUNCHPLZ. XD

---After Lunch---
Mom brought home lunch. I made two YM Display Pictures. I also finished reading A Separate Peace, which is a terrible book. So boring. DX That's about it. This is just a small update, because that other part ended abruptly.

Soyeah. I'm happy -- we have Pop Tarts. XD
Gonna hide 'em though. XD
