So first, the fishtank - Our plecostomus (big scary bottom-feeder dude) knocked over the broken flowerpot he normally sleeps in, and crushed one of the poor baby angelfish to death. That was a lovely thing to wake up to.
Then a few minutes ago, I hear a big crashing thud and my mom yelling. Seems the cat somehow managed to knock over a potted geranium that weighs about ten times as much as she does. I think the plecostomus helped her somehow.
In other news, I am starting to get a bit mopey about our art contest. Twisty's internet connection is unstable at best, so he's not around much, and there doesn't seem to be a huge amount of interest in it yet. Hopefully it will perk up soon. I mean, we're offering over 600K worth of prizes, you'd think it would drum up a little more interest ><. We've gotten a few really nice entries so far though biggrin
Work seems to be sorta looking up. They moved me to a quiet corner near the lounge, since they needed my old desk for a new hire. For a while I was worried that I was at risk of being fired, but I figure they wouldn't have gone to the hassle of moving me (switching my blueprint cabinet, procuring a new computer, hooking up my phone line, it was a bloody two-day process) if they were just gonna fire me later. And my boss is asking one of the other temps to do work I was supposed to do, since he knows I'm too busy to do it. So it's almost like I've got my own assistant now.
