Went to their open day this weekend to talk to the lecturers about how to apply and what kind of exemptions I can get for my current experience. The course is for one year, although I can choose to stay on for another year or two to get a Diploma or Advanced Diploma. I'm thinking of majoring in corporate design (since that's where all the money is cool ) and a minor in illustration (cos its fun xd ). I used to enjoy learning and studying back in higschool but lost that during my computer science degreee - so it'll be nice to study something that I actually enjoy again.
Getting in isn't too easy though - you have to submit a portfolio of 4 pieces and go through an interview, and around 1 in 4 applicants get a place. I don't have anything suitable for the portfolio since all pieces have to be at least A3 in size, so I have a month to do them. I have to create:
- One pencil drawing of a shoe, phone, chair or a perspective drawing
One pencil, coloured pencil and/or marker piece of a subject of my choice
2 pieces of my choice of medium and subject
