I can remember entering the house an feeling like I was being watched. I called out "Is Anybody Here?" and listening carefully for anything even breathing though its silly to think I would have heard something so faint.

After a moment or two of silence an no response I treaded carefully into the abandoned house.

As I slowly sized up the condition on the house's interior it was pretty obvious that it had been left as was in a hurry by whomever lived here originally.

A mess of emptied cabinet drawers left half pull out an some even in the floor here an there. The kitchen floor was so cluttered with everything from kitchen utensils to various pots and pans you would think someone purposely left it this way out of spite if you didn't know the world an society imploded like it did.

Even with the mess I tried looking through the scattered and random stuff lying here an there an managed a few useful finds.

A few good knives an a few washcloths that can be used for string an bandages and whatnot. The treasure though was AA Batteries which were still in thier packages.

I so far had some really good luck in the kitchen though sadly everything else was useless electronics or rotten food stuff which I was certainly not about to touch.

So I moved on casing the rooms one by one trying to make sure I found anything of use. A couple bedrooms down a hallway, a closet in each cabinets and dressers as well in those in about the same way as the kitchen with clothes strewn a bit.

Not much of use here really, other than a few shoes that could be mended and wearable an socks. There were nick knacks here and there some clearly a boy and a few a girl along with what must have been thier parents clothes.

"Well, at least they got away from here it looks like" I though to myself as I walked back down the hallway to the living room an sat on the couch and took stock of what was around me and what I had found so far.
