I want to see you laughing
You're everything I need
And when I stab you in the heart
I want to see you bleed
I should have know that Kai would only encourage it. He's being very nosy and curious about the whole thing. Even when I insisted that it was nothing and that it was probably just some lyrics to some song I had heard or read somewhere, he just looked at me blankly and said 'When's anything with magic that simple?'
So I continued it, at Kai's request. There will probably be more later, heaven forbid.
Anyways, as predicted, Neith got into Hufflepuff and seemed to be quite friendly with several, so far. A mousy-haired second year (was her name Marie or something?), a dark-haired boy her age, as well as the others that were sitting around her. She'll do just fine in that house, I really have no need to worry about her.
During dinner, Kai showed me a new trick that he had learned. Funny, though, I can't imagine where he'd have learned it. He learned everything he could from books and I can't imagine he's anyone's apprentice. Well, he already had a fair head start ahead of me, so I can't be sure it was so new...What I wouldn't give to have a father like Kai's. But then, no, that's not right. Kai's father died when he was young. I really wouldn't want our positions reversed, not for anything.
I hope he's alright. He seems over it but sometimes...
Anyways, got to get to sleep. Classes tomorrow.
