	Revisiting the distant past After half a lifetime of being absent, I'm back and ready to rediscover a place I once knew well.

So, I begin a reconnection to Gaia. I first started in 2006 and ran my account until 2010-2011 before abandoning it. I came back in 2022 only to see Gaia in shambles. I got the story of Gaia's downfall and how the creators took back over and tried to salvage things, but it was a long journey. Seeing things today gives me hope as it seems to be a bit better off than before. Things that were broken have been repaired and I see that attendance is up. I hear that issues remain and as such, Gaia may still be in peril, but you can't deny the progress. My profile is still the same as it was when I left, as is my avatar and I think I may leave both of them be as a tribute to the past and all the joy Gaia brought me. I'm happy to still see Gaia going along. It's one of the few vestiges of my childhood left. Whether or not Gaia will ever recover to its former glory remains unseen, but I'm glad it's still here and I look forward to reconnecting.
