Is truly the most
Sad word that
Anyone can say
Yet it is said
Far too often
And they say
Every end is
A beginning
And so it is
With you and I,
My friends
We have,
However briefly,
Touched one another's
Lives, hopefully,
And lovingly
Now, too soon,
We must part
But we are
Forever changed
Still
Goodbye is
To sad to utter
Forth from my lips
So all I can offer is
Farewell.
