Hima was for a moment caught resting. If it could be called that. For though he was flopped on the ground, he still seemed to fidget now and then, obviously eager to be somewhere else or do something else even though his body was taking a second to recharge. The cheetah was a bit too fast, a bit too crazy for him to keep up with himself, let alone for other people to keep up with him. He tended, when no other ideas presented themselves to him, to chase the wind, or if there was none, race himself. He always won. However, he could do none of these things while his body's metaphorical battery recharged, so he ended up fidgeting. One thing Hima hated was slowing down.

Leini padded away from her home. She was mildly bored and decided to wander away from anyone. It could be fun.
Red eyes, that completly stood out on hr white and brown body, scanned the area. Even though it was a lazy scan, she still spotted something... twitching?
The small wild dog padded toward the red... thing curiously.

Hima's eyes flicked over at the little wild dog and he sprung to his feet, not fully re-energized, but also not going to pass up this chance for fun. He tilted his head at her. "What're you doing here? Do you like to run? Do you have a family? Why are you brown and white? Have you seen anyone else around? Do you like sleeping? I don't like sleeping." Hima was decent at hunting, but excellent at talking things to death. "You're not a cheetah, or are you a cheetah? No, I've seen ones like you before, you're just a little one of those, you're a dog, right?"
Seaki
Leini blinked and tried to put the questions in order.
"Umm... Wandering, Yes, Yes... Umm... My dad is white and my mom is brown... umm... I haven't seen anyone... and... errr..." She lost track of the questions after that. "And can you repeat the last two question?
"Oh wait. I'm a dog. Yep!" Leini laughed lightly. "I still think I'm forgetting an answer though...." She said. She stopped and wondered how she started talking to the twitchy red thing that jumped up and started to talk to her.
Kotatsu-chan
"You forgot the bit about whether or not you like sleeping." Hima said helpfully. "It's an important one because if you like sleeping a lot, you won't be very much fun to race with." He thought about her answers. "Oh, your dad and mom. Yeah, I see. Aaand, I got the dog thing right!" He looked pleased at this. Hima's energy made him seem immature. He was. Completely childish and hard put to take anything seriously. It didn't bother him much though. "How fast can you run? I can run pretty fast, but I got tired just now which is why I was lying down, I don't like lying down. It's boring."
Seaki
I only sleep at night," Leini said. "And I've never raced anyone."
Her tail wagged lightly. "What're you anyways, you're not a dog, you're a cat, but what type of cat are you?" she asked, sniffing him lightly.
"I don't know how fast I can run. Like I said, never raced."

Hima thought. "Well, if you've never raced before you could race me now!" he said, sounding pleased with this idea. "I'll go easy on you, promise." He nodded. "I'm a cheetah." Looking around the aread for landmarks which they could race to, he scuffed the place he was sitting on with a paw so it could be recognized. "How about... Racing to that tree and back?"
Seaki
"Alright!" She said, doubting vshe could outrun a catcreature.
"On what count do we start?" She asked, looking over to the tree. The white dog wriggled in excitment despite her doubt. She had never raced before. It could be fun!

Hima thought. "On the count of three." he settled on. He stretched, then got to the starting point.
"One..." He locked his eyes on the tree.
"Twoooo..." He tensed.
"Three!" Hima dashed towards the tree, but remembered to slow down when he recalled it was his new friend's first race. He settled at a loping pace.

Leini listened to the count and got ready. On three, she started off after him.
The little white wild dog managed to keep up with Hima, but he said he was going easy on her. She couldn't run that fast with her smaller body but she didn't mind. She was still trying.

Hima saw that he and Leini were neck and neck and resisted the urge to run ahead. But she was fater than his other competitiors (Bugs, rocks, clouds.) and easier to see than the wind, so Hima was having a lot of fun. They were nearly at the tree so Hima slowed down a tiny bit more so Leini could win. Winning was Hima's favourite bit, and he wanted other people to know that winning was fun too.
Seaki
Leini managed, or so she thought, to get ahead of the cat creature.
She made it to the tree and touched it with her paw lightly before turning to head back.

Hima follwed her, keeping up a speed just behind her. Now they were almost back. He was surprised at how fast she was, as fast as him when he was little! He saw the scuffed ground that marked the starting point and was a little disappointed the race would be over so soon, but happy he had gotten to run some more.
Seaki
The distance wasn't that long, but Leini was still panting. She was not that far from the finish line, and she didn't dare look to see where the 'red twitchy thing' was. Oh well, that was the affect of a race, she guessed.
Kotatsu-chan
Hima looked ahead. Almost there! He slowed down a little more, just in case and gasped for air, as he hadn't been completely recharged when he started and that was now starting to take its toll on him.
Seaki
Leini skidded to a stop at the mark and she looked back to see Hima close behind her. She was panting lightly, but that was completly natural for any dog.
Leini waited for him to finish, though she knew it wouldn't take more than a few second's for him to reach the mark.

Hima caught up and grinned. "Wow, youre fast!" he said. And then "Congratulations! By the way, I'm Hima. Who're you?" He then collapsed on the ground to rest, fidgeting because even though he needed it, he didn't like it.
Seaki
"I'm Leini," she responded. "And thanks."
"You know, you shouldn't have pushed you'reself if you were resting," Leini said in a lightly scolding way.

Hima looked balefully at Leini. "But it was fun!" he pointed out. "Fun comes first." He waved his tail. "I'm gonna be pretty boring for a while now. You don't have to stay."
Seaki
"I would stay... even if it was boring, but I didn't tell anyone I was leaving and I came quite a bit..." Leini replied. "I'll see you again, hopefully."
She turned to leave the cat. "I'll see ya then!" she said.
