Kusari walking into the shop. His gblade was tired to his back. He looked around to see if there was anyone he knew around as he stepped farther into the shop.

Chartreuse had been lounging on the couch when she heard the soft pitter of paws against the floor of the shop. Peeking over the back, she realized it her metallic silver friend. Grinning, she was about to call out to him when she remembered their last meeting. She brought a green tipped paw up to pat at the the second of two band-aids on her head, then looked around warily. As far as she could tell, they were the only two in the shop. Safe.
"Hey," she called.

Chartreuse hopped up onto the head of the couch and tiptoed across it, balancing. Which was probably not the best idea, given her reputation of being clumsy--
"It's good to see you agai--Ahhhh!"
Not surprisingly, one of her paws slipped, and the small cat came VERY close to falling off the couch. Fortunately, she managed to catch herself. Giggling nervously, she hopped down to solid ground.

Kusari chuckled lightly. "You alright?" he asked.

Chartreuse nodded, still rather embarassed.
"Good thing, too," she said, indicating the band-aids on her head. "I don't really want to...add to my collection."

The pastel-colored Stray nodded thoughtfully.
"Yeah, I probably should...That's what everyone tells me, at least," her ears flicked, and she turned to look at her friend. "But you can probably tell I have a hard time listening."
She plopped down next to Kusari. He was so quiet... Usually, it was fine. But after their last meeting, it made her feel awkward.
"Soooo..." she said, fishing for something to say. Chartreuse knew what she wanted to ask him about, but she wasn't sure it was a good idea. But after a few moments of thinking and coming up blank, she knew she had to ask. She tried to figure out how to phrase her question as tactfully as possible.
"That Stray that was with us last time...Rose...is she...um...your girlfriend or something?"

He blinked at her. "I don't have a girlfriend..." he said like it was the strangest thing for someone to ask him.

Chartreuse nodded. She was content with the answer, and now, having received it, felt a bit stupid for asking.
"Okay. I was just under the impression...that...uh...y'know? Um. Yeah."
No, of course he didn't know. But she was somehow relieved to hear that Rose was not Kusari's girlfriend. She couldn't place why.
