Fixing Myself...
I always fix myself
When I need to.
Put the bandages on the wrists--
Close the caps on the pills--
Put the lid on the syringe--
And put the blade in the dresser.
It's all over--
I'm all better--
Past on the smile--
Cover up the emptiness--
Bury the bitterness--
And say a joke.
It tells them that you're okay.
Laugh a little--
Pretend to eat--
They'll never learn--
Of your deceit.
They think you're fine--
Tears have never been your--
Strong suit--
To them you're a fighter--
You don't ever give up on life.
But they just never see--
When the door closes...
The smile drops--
The tears fall--
The blood runs--
And I end the facade.
But when I need to--
I will always fix myself.
No matter how much it hurts--
No matter how much I'm suffering--
They have to think I'm okay--
Because if they don't--
I will know that I'm not okay...
It will be true that my life is horrible--
It will be a fact that I hate myself--
I have to fix myself...
Alright, I'm fixed.
