It doesn't feel like Monday. I think it's 'cause the weekend was so busy and so fun that it doesn't seem like it was only two days. Then again, my internal clock is still off due to the remnants of jetlag and the fact that I do [almost] nothing all day, unless someone or something comes around. Reason why I was all "OMGFUN" over the weekend, 'cause I was actually doing something other than figuring out what to do. XD Ever since Knilly's laptop went kaput, and Jesse and Joe went to Alaska, the internet hasn't been too entertaining.
Then again, there's no school today. [I love summer.] If today was Monday and there was school, I'd be like "yeahnox_x".
<strike>Knil and I are about to go prepare lunch, so this entry is going to be spread out before and after lunch. I think it's going to be rice and fried chicken, 'cause we're like that.</strike> Nevermind, 'Nay [short for Nanay, which is Mother in Tagalog] just called. We're getting McDo [as they say in the Philippines. XD] for lunch. Now, don't hate, appreciate. [I have a PenShoppe shirt with that on it. 8D] I'm not a twig, but I'm not disgustingly fat. I'd say a little bit over average. I'm American, yes, but I'm not in with the obese statistics. Soyeah. A little fast food for me, because nobody's perfect. :]
So what HAVE I been doing when no one comes around or nothing special happens to pass my summer by? I'm not sure, exactly. Well, I'm in charge [because everyone else is hella lazy. I am too, but you know.] of picking up the phone. And it sucks, 'cause everyone is NOT calling for me. Except Lorna, on occassion. XD I've also learned a couple of short, simple guitar riffs. Uhm, we've been video gaming. Kirby Air Ride, especially, because City Trial isn't going to get old or boring anytime soon. XD I've done very, very, very little Tagalog learning. I should get on that. Maybe later, when Knilly hits the gym so I won't be disturbed. XD Yeah, she's going to the gym with Joy 'cause they're like that. You don't know how much I want to learn Tagalog, but have absolutely no drive to attempt to pronounce all those vowels and accents and syllables. I know it's a relatively easy language compared to, say English, but, you know, it's just hard. @_@
Now, what ON the computer have I been doing? Listening to music, that's for sure. XD I have Snakes on a Plane (Bring It) by Cobra Starship w/The Academy Is..., Gym Class Heroes, and The Sounds. Snakes! on a Plane. XD Bad, bad joke. I want to see that movie though. Anyway, I discovered the usefulness of YM this morning. I'm an AIM person, but YM is awesome. Now, why did I allofasudden hop on YM? My Kuya was asking if I had it and wanted to chat on it. So far, I've replied to his offline messages with offline messages of my own. Anyway, it tells me everytime I have Yahoo! Mail, so I don't have to keep checking. You don't know how much easier that makes my life. However, there's no one to talk to YM. XD That's alright, 'cause I still have mah AIM, even though it's nearly lunch time and everyone is sleeping. Another reason why, without Jesse who's online almost as much as I am (or vice versa, I dunno), AIM is simply lackluster. On the internet, I've also been blogging like what. You can tell by this Journal. XD My Xanguhguh and Friendster blogs are also used often. Xanguhguh the most, of course. My MySpace blog isn't fun, 'cause it's MySpace. -_-; Oh, and I've been waiting for happy bubbles moments. Yesterday and today, yo. <3
Yeah. That's pretty much my life in the summer when I don't get to go malling or hang out with friends. In the Philippines, it was peaceful. Here it's boring. Speaking of the Philippines (and Kuya previously), I changed my quote. It says something like "Quest: Plane Tickets to the PILAppines". Why? 'Cause it's true. I've got a plan worked out to save up lotsa money for ze airfare.
The plan is, stop spending money and save everything I get within reason. I've got $300 in reserve from my Graduation money. (I initially had $360 in cash, and something else in checks that went to the bank. I blew the extra $60 when I went malling with some friends. My bad. >_> wink Confirmation is coming up in November, I believe, so hopefully I'll have a party and have fun and, of course, get some money. XD The next month is my birthday and Christmas, so I should get a little something to save for the month of December. Through the school year, I'm going to get $X a week for lunch money, probably x = 20. I should save at least $15 of that. (Bringing lunch to school is a small sacrifice to get myself over to the Philippines.) Thus, $15 a month, let's say 3 weeks a month (don't overestimate now!), and let's say 8 months until May. That totals to $360, assuming I can save and get that much, and my calculations are probable. Let's set a goal: $1000. So if I have $300, will get about $360, then I need $340 from other sources to reach $1000. Then again, I don't know how much a plane ticket is. XD So if it's more than $1000, I can just bring lunch to school everyday. That'll bring in [20x3x8]... $480, so it's not so bad. And I'm rounding down everything, so I may just get more. (We'll see how that goes. Don't forget about vacation weeks and not $20 a week!)
And my fallback plan is to get a job. Oh, but I really don't want to resort to that. @_@ Not yet, anyway, because at my age, the jobs I can legally get aren't too fun. Illegal jobs aren't fun either, just saying. XD
Yeah. I've had nothing to do, so I've been planning this out. XD
The Philippines is love.
