Anyway, I went to visit my grandparents for the Holidays (which would explain why I was in NC, you know). It was..... relaxing? That's all I can think of. All I did there was eat, sleep, go shopping, and watch Last Exile. But my grandparents are huge smokers and now my lungs don't work. And everything, including myself, smells like smoke. Totemo gag!
I got some really nice gifts, too. My grandmother took me on a Good Will shopping spree. I didn't get as much as I've gotten in pervious years, but I did get a Harry Macdowell costume. The coat and the pants just need a few alterations (i.e. The pants are a Men's LARGE and don't even stay up with a belt on. The jacket is a Woman's jacket with huge gold buttons. !! Harry could crossdress!) I don't want to make this too long, but I also got these awesome Chinese paint sets. My grandmother is under some odd delusion that I'm artistic in some manner. But she is also under some weird delusion that I'm a Catholic!Schoolgirl. She bought me a long brown, purple, and blue pleated skirt.... but the pleats are all wrinkled out of it. And, get this, she got me an XX LARGE blue knit sweater. OMFGWTF?! Number 1! It's about three feet too big for me! Number 2! I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate knit sweaters! Hate 'em! I've always hated them! And it's huge! Bleh!
So, I got back from my little trip yesterday. Thank Mana-sama my mother at least knew what to get me. She got me a Gothic and Lolita mag. The Beautiful World Psycho le Cemu CD. A Kanji book and an uber nifty, expensive Shoudo pen. A kickass tea set. And, fu fu fu! The book that I've been craving for a while. So, that rocked.
Well, I think I've taken up enough rant space for now. But in closing, I just wanted to say..... Last Exile is spiffy!! I had to watch the English G4 dubs (Bleeeh, but at least Eric Stuart was missing), but I still really enjoyed it. I didn't think that I would enjoy some weird airship show with wars and blah, blah, blah, but I really, really did! So, I just wanted to let you all know that I've found another new love interest. Dio Elaclaire (whose last name has more spelling variations than Harry MacDowell's)!
