The sun shone over the feild. The low hills to one side, sheltering the feild from the walm summer breeze. The gental trickle of water could be heard running from a small spring, somewhere in the hills. The dusty road ran down the remaining side, running parlel with the hills. The sweet smell of the summer grass, free from the polutants of the cities, wafted over the country side. And the light clouds floated over head, oblivous to the world below, only joined by the single air:cruser making its lazy way to the busling city far off.

On a low hump at the uncovered end of the feild sat a boy. Jet black hair lined a smiling face and kind eyes. A sound penertrated the background wash of the stream, the joyus shout of a small child, her fair, blond hair easly caught by the gental breeze.

"Watch me Kai! Watch me!"
Kai lent back on his elbows, "Sure I'm watching."

The little girl took a rinning jump, hit the floor and collapsed. Kai emedatly jumped up and ran over to the crying child and began to comfot her.

"Are you ok? It will be allright Miline" Kai smiled and wrapped his arms tightly arround Miline.

This instantly had a calming effect and the two sat in the grass enjoying each others embrace.

"All better now?"
"Yep! Im...." Miline trailed off.
"What is it?"

Miline pointed over Kai's shoulder at a cloud of dust risind from down the road, past the stream. The roar of bikes could now be heard, quiet but getting loulder. Finally the three bikes pulled over the birdge of the stream and skidded to a gravly halt. The riders quickly dissmouned and ran over to the huddled brother and sister.

With out hesatation one of the riders came up behind Kai and grabbed him by the throat. The other two snatched up Miline and with out warning everything faded out of sight as Kai collapsed to the ground.
