(Well, since my friends seem to have a lot of poems in their journals, I'll start posting more of mine here. So here's one that's kind of a freewrite cuz I'm writing it right now to see what comes out of it.) smile
Sometimes I don't understand
Why teen girls need to be loved
by someone else
Why they risk feeling the hurt,
the pain of being rejected
They're ready to face all of this
just to have someone tell them
how they're pretty, and smart
and how they love them so much
the point of my story here is,
I believe it's good to wait
wait until you find someone
you really love and respects you
I'm not saying that when you're young
you can't find a great guy
but if you want to be reassured
about your looks or personality
dating a boy isn't the only way
Go see your friends, spend time with them
Share meals with your family
because when you're with people you really love
that's when you'll feel loved
About your looks and personality,
just look in the mirror
and you'll see God's unique creation
staring back at you
So this was complete freewrite but often freewrites are really deep and express real feelings so I'm not erasing any part of it. I haven't put a title yet, if you have an idea for one, comment please.
