I realize that Gaia is getting bigger and changing. I realize that even if I don't care about Fishing and the Casino, other people enjoy them and they give us some cool items. I realize a battle system is going to happen, no matter how much that bores me. As long as I have my forums, I can handle new layouts and new features and having random widgets shoved in my face when I sign on. I get it-- no matter how arrogant this may sound-- more than the bulk of SFers and I don't see the point in raking the admins over the coals for every little thing that I personally don't like, even if everyone else loves it, because I feel entitled to be rude and pitch a fit.

But.

I am really less than thrilled about the new mouths and eyes. It's cool to have new options, but I don't want a line or a big red blob. I like my little white smiley, it makes me look like I have teeth. Being forced to keep my current avatar or pick a mouth I think looks funny because it's not shaded is not a choice that thrills me. I don't see why the old options couldn't have been included, especially for those of us who have tried to keep our base avatar the same since we joined. The new options don't bother me, but the completely unnecessary loss of the old ones does. I suppose the only question now is how long I can keep this same avatar before getting a hideous new face becomes my only option. neutral
