July 16, 2006 Today was fun. I went swimming with Jenna at the pool at Laura's new apartment. That is a weird pool. But anyway, we saw a duck. She had a nest right next to the pool in this little square of dirt and plants. It was so cute. We watched her for a while, she kept opening and closing her beak. And she had a whole bunch of eggs, we saw them when she got up and turned around. When we walked away she got in the pool a little bit but then ran back to her nest. We fed her some cheese crackers but she only ate a little. A guy at the pool said that the tree next to her nest had been cut where before it had hid the nest, so now people can see her, though she does blend in pretty good. After than I came home for a while, and then Jenna came over and we played Monopoly. We still have to finish that later. I got Park Place.
