It's like the world is exploding! gonk Fireworks are going off everywhere like crazy. Boom boom kapow, will I ever sleep?
I'm really happy. heart I got my acceptance letter for the school I wanted to go to. Just four hours ago, I was pretty certain that I was going to CK, instead of OLY. I got my report card a week, and I saw that I raised my GPA by .5 points. In just a week! I was really proud of myself. But it was still too low to go to OLY. I just got my report card from the other school I go to, for just one class. My GPA at that school is a 3.8 (Out of 4.0). That was never calculated into my GPA from my primary school. D:< But put it all together, and I'm going to the highschool of my dreams. heart
But. Y'know. I'm kinda mad that my school counselor didn't notice that I was only taking five classes there. But whatever, it's obvious the two don't communicate. Ever. </3
But even though I'm going to the school I want, there's already a problem. I can't take any of the art classes I signed up for next year. And if I can't take any next year, I'll never be able to go into AP Art. I must take these certain classes before I can get into AP. If I miss just one, my chances are thrown out the window, since many students apply for AP and only 20 are accepted. I know I have the skill to make it, and I know I'm willing to learn. There's just some technical stuff to get out of the way first.
I found this out from a phonecall from the school's counselor. She'll be gone untill August 14th, so I have a lot of time to get together what I want to ask her. When she called, I was hardly awake, and I didn't have much of a chance to talk to her since she was leaving ('till August!) in just half an hour. Next time we talk, though, I don't want it to be "So... what crap classes have you signed me up for?" like it was last year. stressed It's going to be "Why am I on the bottom of the list? Why are you jeopardizing my future like this? Why am I being forced to take third-pick classes?"
She says the classes are full, and they are probably full of seniors trying to get in their last art credit. Which bugs me, because I know I'm not the only person with the plan to take these classes and get into AP Art. Gah! They need more art teachers.
