My scanner is broken, which is really depressing, but there's not much I can really do about it. I suppose it isn't my scanner that's broken, but rather Lancelot (to those of you who don't know, Lancelot is my computer). I was recently forced to do a full system recovery for my beloved computer, which consequentially forced me to reinstall everything I had already installed on my computer. My scanner was one of these things. Unfortuneatly, my sloppy and unorganized habits caused me to smash the software required for my scanner's installation between a pencil bag and a powercord. Carrying the unprotected disk around even more, it eventually broke in two. Now, I have no usable scanner and thus cannot post any of my sketches online or tweek them in photoshop. It is very depressing. However, some good has come from it. The breakdown has forced me to resort to digital art, which I've been meaning to work on anyway. I find myself imporving greatly.
On another note also related to computer and imaging problems, I have lost my cable for my camera. This causes serious problems in the uploading department. I am forced to go into my parents room and pull out that giant picture printer thing and empty out my memory card on their computer because the printer has a spot for the memory card. My computer does not. In most cases, it isn't much of a problem to just leave the pictures on their computer, in other cases, however, I like to put my pictures onto my computer as to use them in photo manipulations or just to have them in my personal collection. In order to do this I must e-mail myself all the pictures I want on my computer one by one because gmail does not allow you to send whole file folders at once. It is very annoying.
Both of these things are a result of my lazy, unorganized, and sloppy behavior that causes me to lose, break, or destroy almost everything I touch. Perhaps it's time for change . . . Neh.
