You know, secretarial staff really underestimate the power they have over us civillians who are unwilling slaves of beaurocracy. I mean, just how they act can make or break one's day. And I'm talking about paying fees and paperwork and all that s**t; these are the people you talk to and they make you sign stuff. A secretary who's helpful and friendly and even laughs at my jokes can make a stressful day seem hopefull, like everything's gonna be okay. A sour one, however, can make me want to murder.
"But I already paid this morning! Why does it still say I owe??"
"Your account will be cleared by 4:30."
"But there's an extra eight cents on there; will that matter?"
"No, the eight cents won't count."
Now read the secretary's lines in the most condescending, bored voice you can imagine. God she pissed me off. What a freaking b***h. Becuase they didn't tell me I owed money for a fee they didn't tell me existed I had to not only pay $50 to fix it, but I don't know if I'll be able to get into a course I need because THAT secretary (the really nice one that's trying to get me into the course I need) wasn't able to register me (all the online services get locked to you if you have outstanding fees. I know, evil isn't it?)
All I can hope for now is that between now and 4:30 no one else signs up for that section of the course. Not to mention that since I am unprepared for my exam tomorrow, this is really the worse day that this could happen.
And yes, I had time to write this. I had to; if I didn't get a little frustration out I think I would eat my text books.

I don't know what this will be like. I don't know what anything's like.
