Stratus Isle is mild and detached, with residents as varied as the buildings they call home. The open-air houses are host to lazy evening potlucks and shared drinks, with daredevil feats of courage inspired by their phoenix. Sahryn is a generous guardian and takes her role seriously, seeing herself as protector and force of change. She is impulsive and passionate - some would say hotheaded. Her strength is in her ability to see opportunity and pursue it, pulling others along for the ride. She shares stories of daring and none are sure which are true, or think to ask. Her charm comes from an easy optimism, as she prefers to speak plainly. Similarly, her emotions are rarely hidden and earning her respect is straightforward.
Among the other guardians Sahryn can appear immature or impulsive, quick to question slower methods or insert herself into situations needlessly. Even though humans and other fragile creatures inevitably die after only a short time, Sahryn still mourns their loss, becoming moody for an indefinite time or disappearing entirely. But she cares deeply and the other guardians are her family, just as worthy of protection and support.

Sahryn has acted as patron of this island for over a century, watching humans and others through their short exciting lives. When she first negotiated a position as their patron and guardian, she promised freedom and the endless expanse of the sky. Humans move so quickly, changes happen so easily, and the way they have grown has inspired her in turn. She walks among her islanders frequently, hearing their concerns and dancing at their ceremonies. At the recent meeting to discuss future options, Sahryn was one of the loudest voices pushing to descend - if her people can shift and bend like the wind, surely they can thrive in a new environment.
