I guess I'm a magnet for mental illness. Now I have to do some research on Severe Recurring Major Depressive Disorder, Hallucinations, Generalized Anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, Panic Disorder, and Agoraphobia to try and figure out how to deal with it all. At least I qualified for free treatment but I really wish I knew that was possible before I started hallucinating. I didn't even know it was possible for severe depression to cause that.
At least now I know why it was so easy for me to write characters with PTSD, anxiety, agoraphobia, and depression. It's reassuring to know that my goal was to show these characters overcoming these obstacles- learning to deal with them and live somewhat normal lives and that I had this goal long before I found out I have these very same problems. I guess the stories I write truly are from the heart?
Proverbs 20:5 "Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out."
