Yep time to start digging around in my hard drive to see what songs and poems I can find. Some have already been posted on a poetry thread, while others haven't. I'll start posting entries with the older poems and songs first. This one is based around a ritual in some dragon magick traditions known as riding the chaos dragon.
Riding The Chaos Dragon
Chaos dragon of the darkest night
Gift to me the gift of flight
Take me up soaring through the night
Among the stars, across the sky,
A hundred thousand miles high
Take me up soaring through the night.
Ride with me through the night sky
See how far we can fly
Fly with me on this bright night
Ride me across the sky
Come, draconis to my call! Dragons, hear me!
Come draconis to my call! Dragons hear me!
From all my troubles I shall escape
My enemies in awe shall gap
As upon a chaos dragon I ride
Across the astral plane we race
The universe rushes past my face
And I have left my troubles behind.
Ride with me through the night sky
See how far we can fly
