They say that home is where the heart is. If that is the truth then why is it that when I am ashore I yearn to be at sea again, but when I'm at sea I yearn to be ashore. It doesn't matter where I go I have yet to find somewhere I can truely call home, somewhere that I feel a connection to. I was born and raised in the London area, and yet I have to love for the city. I spent seven years in a boarding school in Rickmansworth and feel no connection to it. I spend most of my shoreside life in the Southampton region, and all I feel is the sea calling me back to her. I hope one day I will find where I belong, I just wish I knew where it was, so I am not continuously torn between land and sea. All I know is that wherever home maybe it will be with my love...only my will can shape my destiny but only my heart can guide me home.
