I wrote the poem below around a year ago and the photo is recent. I've decided to post something here at least. I have no idea who will read it, but I hope you enjoy them and feel free to add critique.


Sepia Portrait by Moonlight
A rich explosion of color
A child's eyes and cherubs face
shy smile and a smirk displaced
The woman on the right manifests
the painted blood upon the wedding dress
Unseen twists of flesh, wrinkles, invisible antique design
The minds eye covered by a portal door
Vines among the rods and cones
The magnify glass and the torn butterfly wing
Suicide funeral lace, tattooed insults, acidic lightning "love"
The hanged man and the noose
She screams in silence
rains her tears upon Artemis's mantel
Heaven doesn't know her name
but she's an angel just the same
