To our government. I went to the "Hall of Justice" today because I got a summons for jury pool. So I'm effectively on call for the next two weeks. The pay bites. $12.50/day that you're there. I did the math, and if you go for eight hours, you get roughly $1.56/hr. If the Federal Minimum Wage is somewhere around $5.15, how can they legally do that? Well whatever, if I don't go I get jail time.
I'm juror #132060 in group 100. They told us that we would probably watch several trials and stuff. So not only are we numbers, we can be recycled. Yay!
I hate the government. I can't remember who says it but "The only thing worse than anarchy is government."
