xoxoIn the brief time I've had this character, I've become used to the idea that he'll be difficult to write. Most of my previous characters have been very agreeable, adapting to social situations with relative ease. Rik is supposed to be difficult. He's supposed to make people angry, and he's supposed to ******** up a lot. He's inherently flawed.
xoxoAs I continue to write him, I'll have to go back and re-read everything once, twice, three times maybe, just to make sure I'm playing him right. It's funny, I have to kind of put a damper those agreeable tendencies in my own writing style to make sure he's aggressive enough. I'm wary now of words like "calmly" or "gently".
xoxoIt'll go into a separate entry in more detail, but Gaia user Silvelia and I have decided that our twins (Freya and Fredrik) are really smart. Freya, after all, is a doctor at twenty-seven and their father was a successful international businessman. Fredrik, however, jumped the tracks with his smarts. So I have to write him smart but constantly pissed off.
xoxoI hope I can keep a hold on it.
