So that's why I decided to go to Anime North and I'm going no matter what. I needed to have a weekend of fun to help me forget all this or else I just might loose my mind. I told mom that I'm going to stay at a friend's house for the weekend and said nothing to aunty so she'd assume that I'm going to Toronto as usual. I've already planned the trip with Dani and we're getting a ride from her dad right after school. ((we had an Early Dismissal, how convinient!)). Aunty suddenly offered me a ride to Toronto on Saturday, since she's got a doctor's appointment there. I made up a festival, saying that it's on Friday night and mom and I are going. I guess it wasn't very convincing since she caught me off guard and I forgot to call mom that night, telling her what I told aunty, asking her to cover for me. Aunty figured that I was up to something and called mom, asking about the "festival". Mom had no idea what she was talking about. Aunty called me, asking me where I was. At that time, I was in Dani's car on the way to Anime North. I lied and told her that I was at the bus station. She told me to come home right away since she figured out that I lied. I said okay and hung up then panicked, called mom, telling her everything and asking her what I should do. She told me to keep driving, she'll work thing out with my aunt and told me to have fun, she understands. About half an hour later, I decided to call my aunt and confessed. I told her everything and explain to her why I did I. She wasn't angry, just sounded sad. She told me she understands as well and she'll discuss this with my mom and hung up.
We've already been delayed since Dani's dad got a call and went to Strathroy before coming to pick us up. Because of the call, we were even later. By this time, Dani was getting a little irritated and I couldn't apologise enough. A while later, I get a call from my cousin in Toronto, wanting to talk to Dani's dad. At the end of the conversation, it's decided that I can go for the night, but the night only. Mom will be picking me up at the end of the event. Dani wasn't too happy about that, neither was I. But I knew it was better than nothing.
So we met up with Rian and Elu and Shad at the Marriot. We then drove to AN. Dani and I had to buy a pass before we're allowed in. So we got ushered in line by Rian and they ran off. Unknown to us at the time, we had cut in line but noone told us. I guess Dani and I looked pretty forlorn standing there by our selves holding plushies. We didn't bring money ((left it in Dani's dad's car)) and had to borrow money from Rian and Elu.
Then we went out for dinner since Elululu was starving. We went to a Japanese/Korean restaurant near there and the food was good. The Chicken Udon had a bit too much MSG in it and the Philly Maki didn't taste quite right... Then Dani and Rian wouldn't stop text messaging each other, even though they were less than a metre away from each other. Oh and, *cough* Dani was using my phone. I can imagine the phone bill now. All the long distance/local calling AND the text messaging? Mom's going to have a heart attack when she gets a bill. Oh, and some random ((cute &w& )) Chinese guy tapped me on the shoulder on the way to the restaurant and asked me where I got my giant Cinnamoroll plushie. That was kind of odd... Yet fun. I guess it's all part of the con experience!
Finally we went in to AN. I was squeaking at all the cosplayer. There was a really amazing Sora costume and there was a group of RO characters. Seeing Sora break it down on the dance floor... *giggles* &w& There was also a really amazing Haru Sohma costume. I couldn't stop staring at him. He looks just like Haru. The hair, the coat.... One of the best costume I saw that night!
We visited the Dealer area. Dani bought a giant Kunai plushie. I saw Kumagoro chans for sale and went nuts. Unfortnately, I didn't bring enough money so... And I saw a necklace from Loveless. It's really pretty. We kind of rushed away since AN was closing in and hour and we still haven't been to the Artist Alley so I ask Dani to buy it for me today when she goes back again. We got free fans from a stand that was selling interactive manga. ((These are really cool. You get to pick the sotry line! Lots of different ending and you can unlock hidden scenes~))
Off to the Artist Alley we go! I went nuts, buying key chains and magnets and other little trinkets from the artists. ((The actual art pieces were too expensive. I only had $20 left by that time. sweatdrop )) Elu found Dani and I after a while. I made him hold my Cinnamoroll plushie because I was running all over the place, looking at this, buying that. We passed by some girl who said he looked cute holding a giant white bun, thingy. xd Rian found the panda hat stand he had told us about during dinner. Dani bought a panda hat. Then we found a RO artist stand that was selling Deviruchi hat. She bought one of those as well. We then met Rian and Shad and Liz at Rian's friend's stand. She was selling clay dragons. They were amazing. Next year I'll have to bring more money! @w@
I ran off for a while then met up with everyone at the Art Room where Usk was working. DukDuk found us there. He stole my fan and he still owes me a cookie, RAWR! mad I saw a giant Chocobo. It was so cute~~~ I wanted it but didn't think it's fit into my already crowded room so... No Chocobo for Yuki. =x And there was a godzilla modle that scare the crap out of me when I didn't notice it and suddenly turned around. Scary... @x@;;; After that we went home. I had a blast and feels much better now. I haven't had this much fun or felt this happy in a long while. I definately needed this. Now without further ado, PICTURE TIME!
