Life is hard on us just so that we can prove to ourselves that we can make it through tough times. trust me... I had been dumped by someone who i loved for two years, all on the account because her parents wanted her to dump me. It hurts like hell and there isn't anything you can do to stop the pain. only drown it for a short while or cover it up with another pain... I have found it's best to just live through it and let the pain subside on it's own...
