[The strengths of the Gods]
[The strengths of the Gods]
History: A martial arts school that specializes in Battōjutsu. The techniques of the Ogame Style are divided into six forms, each based on a different element (Lightning/Thunder, Fire, Wind, Water, and Earth).
Movement Description: Versatility
Preferred Weapon: Katana
Rules:
- Can't use more than one form at time.
- Sixth stage can only be learned by mastering all the other stages.
- Switching Forms in combat takes three posts.
Stage One: First Form - Lightning - Ikazuchi Kata (雷電型 Form of Thunder and Lightning)
Stage Description: A style focused on speed and fast attacks.
Stage Powers: This stage was made for speed, your body must be relaxed, must be light on your feet to accomplish full usage of this stage.
(+2 Speed to base stats while active stage)
Techniques:
- Unnamed: A very quick attack divided in three movements: the first is a quick dash followed by a headbutt to the opponent's hand, to get close. Then the user use the sword handle to smash the opponent's ribs on the side, and finally spins around and strike his head as he falls.
- Shidensen 紫電閃 Purple Lightning Flash: To use this technique, the user falls down, then he gives himself a sprint with his feet in order to dash forward, combining the strength of gravity from the fall with his own and resulting in an incredibly fast movement. As he moves like this, the user slashes his opponent with his sword from below, usually an unprotected spot.
- Narukami 鳴神 Rumbling God: his technique is divided in three, precise movements, that must be performed when the target is in the right range of three steps: First, there's the "Start", where the user starts dashing towards the opponent, ready to spring, in order to catch his attention. When the enemy tries to attack, the "Crossing" follows, as the user moves quickly sideways, out of the enemy's sight, apparently disappearing. Then before the enemy can react, the user finally cuts him to the flank with a powerful slash, finishing him off before he can realize what happened.
Stage Two: Second Form - Fire - Kagutsuchi Kata (焔燃型 Form of the Blazing Flame)
Stage Description: A style focused on strength and powerful attacks.
Stage Powers: This stage can be used by only those that have full control of their muscles, being a more aggressive stage.
(+2 Strength to base stats while active stage)
Techniques:
- Hibashira (火柱 Pillar of Fire): The user face the enemy sideways, with both arms raised over his head and bent. Then he hit the elbow of his sword arm with the other one and, at the same time, slide the sword's handle in the hand as he swings it. The resulting whip-like movement focuses all the strength on the tip, resulting in a steel-cutting attack.
- Gurensen (紅蓮旋 Crimson Lotus Swipe): This attack is similar to Hibashira. The user crosses his arms, with the right one pointing back and the left one up. Then, he swings his right arm while pushing it with the left one at the same time, resulting in a very powerful and wide swing.
- Shuengetsu (朱円月 Vermillion Full Moon): The users pushes and slides the sword blade with his right hand so as to increase the speed of the sword. In this way, a slash with tremendous speed is produced. At the last possible moment he switches hands, so that the reach of this upward slash is increased even further.
Stage Three: Third form - Wind - Oboro Kata (虚空型 Form of the Empty Space)
Stage Description: A mostly defensive style focused on dodging.
Stage Powers: This stage being the most defensive one will need to have the user able to control everything on their body from muscle tension to speed.
(+1 to Speed and Strength to base stats while active stage)
Technique:
- Kagenui (影縫 Shadow Stitch): or this technique the user needs to relax his body completely, adopting a "natural posture". Then, suddenly, use all his unused muscular strength to rotate the body, simultaneously evading a hit and going into range of an opponent. to the opponent it'd appear as if the user had disappeared.
Stage Four:Fourth Form - Water - Mizuchi Kata (水龍型 Form of the Water Dragon)
Stage Description: A style which relies on special, everchanging slashes.
Stage Powers: This stage focus on the flexibility of the user and how they use their body to maximize their damage.
(+2 Strength to base stats while active stage)
Techniques:
- Gekirin (逆鱗 Imperial Wrath): The user attacks with an apparently normal slash from above, only to quickly switch the position of his hands on the sword (The right slides down while the left grabs up, and viceversa), enabling him to change the direction of the slash at the last moment, surpassing the enemy guard.
- Tanryuu Hibaku (湍流飛瀑 Rushing Rapids, Cascading Waterfall): his technique is very similar to Gekirin, but instead of changing hands, the user simply removes his right hand entirely and uses the left one on the bottom of the handle to push while twisting the body in order to extend the reach, turning the slash into a thrust which leaves no escape to the enemy.
- Renkaiten (漣回天 Ripples that Change the World): A two stage acceleration, this technique starts with a "false" attack delivered with the right arm in order to build up energy, which doesn't really connect as the user draw the sword back to the left, hiding it to the enemy's sight with quick movements. Then the user attacks for real with his left hand, further increasing the destructive power of this slash thanks to the previous movement and by pushing the sword's hilt with his right hand.
Stage Five: Fifth Form - Earth - Dokou Kata (土公型 Form of the Earth Lord)
Stage Description: A style which mostly focuses on defense and counterattacks.
Stage Powers: Another stage that focus not only in your speed but also in your strength, this stage was made for the user to be able to counterattack with almost perfect precision.
(+2 to Speed and Strength to base stats while active stage)
Techniques:
- Aragami (荒神 Wild God): A counterattack, the user raises his sword horizontally over his head. When the enemy weapon is about to hit him, he attacks the weapon with a downward slash while rotating the sword at the same time, resulting in a powerful blow that knocks back the weapon.
- Iwagui (岩喰 Boulder Eater): This technique is especially effective when a pair of swords is locked together. The user uses the same movement as Aragami to push back the opponent, knocking him off balance and pushing his sword away.
Stage Six: Sixth Form - Divine - Kamui Kata (God / Divine Majesty)
Stage Description: The ultimate Form from the Ogame Style
Stage Powers: This stage can only be used if you have mastered all the previews stages, having control of your whole body.
(+3 to Speed and Strength to base stats while active stage)
Technique:
- Kamui (Divine Authority): he user takes a stance with the sword held horizontally and pointing backwards held with the other hand, and then wait for the enemy blow inside his area of attack. As soon as the enemy tries to attack, the user let the blade go and aim for the enemy blade, deviating it while slashing his enemy in a vital spot, usually on the side of the belly. Only those gifted with great skill and coordination can use this attack safely: if the attack fails, the user is done for.
