Jasmine Tea
I bought this tea at a Asian market in New York City. Inside the shop they had a large selection of tea. I had a difficult time in figuring out which I wanted to get. I went with something I’m familiar with, but haven’t had a chance to try.

Jasmine tea.

This tea smells so sweet. The aroma is from jasmine blossoms which are used to make the scented tea. Typically, jasmine tea has green tea as the tea base; however, white tea and black tea are also used. The resulting flavor of jasmine tea is subtly sweet and highly fragrant. It is the most famous scented tea in China.

I haven’t ever tried it, but I’ve always heard good things about it. As soon as I opened the pretty tea container I could smell the flowery scent of Jasmine.

The jasmine tea I have doesn’t come in tea bags, but in loose leaves. I see some of the jasmine flowers mixed in with the green leaves. I don’t know the name of the brand of tea I have, because the writing isn’t in English. But from the little bit of English that was on the package, this is what I know of it.

It is Jasmine tea, with a shelf life of two years. It was made in Taiwan and packaged by Good Young Co., LTD. I looked up the company to see if I could find more information about the tea (and what other teas they have), and they’re a professional enterprise of producing and processing high quality tea.

I included a link to their site in case anyone is interested to see what other teas they offer.

The color of the jasmine tea is golden, almost amber. The taste is refreshingly sweet and delicate with a distinct fresh Jasmine fragrance and taste. The strong flowery aroma of this tea is very soothing. It wasn’t bitter like most teas, I really didn’t need to add sugar or anything else to sweeten it.
