Legend speaks of a serpentine elder god sleeping at the Earth's core. When disturbed, it will awaken and merge whoever is unlucky enough to find it. This union should have created an unstoppable being of chaotic evil, marking the beginning of the apocalypse. Instead, K was born.
The human that stumbled upon the dormant monster was far too "pure" to be corrupted... meaning he was childish, lacking any sort of ambition, and just a tiny bit dense. K theoretically has the power to threaten the universe, but he could never consciously access it. He satisfies his instinct for destruction by pulling pranks. While he sometimes does not understand the difference between right and wrong, he is usually harmless.
Technically K is not a dragon. His race, age, and gender are undefined and he can shift them at will. There might even be other people inside of him! What's important is that he thinks he is one thanks to the wings, horns, and tail of his original body. He hoards jewels, kidnaps princes or princesses, and lives in a lair, all in the name of mimicking fairy tales.

Whether he acts like it or not, at his heart K is an elder god. As such, he perceives reality differently, especially when it comes to memory. He has no recollection of who or what he was before ascending or even that he's an ascended creature at all. As far as he knows, he's in his natural twenties. He's certain that he's never dated anyone, even though in his past he's fallen in love and gotten married to many different people.
Yet, he remembers historical events and everything he's ever learned in extreme detail. Additionally, despite his cowardly behavior, K is not really sure he can die. He has been murdered a few times, but always comes back like nothing happened.
Draconic
K believes he is a dragon, so for all intents and purposes he is one. This means his senses and body are unnaturally strong. He also can manipulate fire. His wings grant him flight, and his wounds heal much faster than a normal person's would.
Trickster
When K is up to no good, hints of his real abilities leak out. He can cast minor arcane and major illusion spells, but only when he is pulling a prank. Most importantly, he can freely travel between different planes and canons.
