Bible Studies Are Going to Be Fun! NOT!!!!!
Ok, so my dad thinks that before I become a full-fledged athiest, that i need to further understand why Christians and Jews (and all of the other religions) believe what they believe. SO! Over the summer, my dad is going to make my read the Bible (including the Old and New Testiments) and the Torah (I am sorry, but I am not a good speller)! I mean, I respect that they believe in God and I don't, but I think reading the Bible and the Torah is bring it a little bit over the top! I don't even know that I am even going to finish it in that short of a time period! Wish me luck on my Bible studies! gonk

Oh poor poor dear! I totally feel for you. My parents haven't pushed religion on me since I was like six, because when I was born my birth mother didn't get me babtised, so then when I was like five my mom and dad wanted to baptise me, but I told my mom I didn't believe in god...when I was only 5. My was I a smart child. Ok so then when my mom went to the priest from the church my mom goes to she was like "Is it a problem if she doesn't believe in god?"And then he was like yes, so that is the story of why I was never babtised. xD, wow was that a long comment. Kk much luck! heart

OMG! The priest actually said that it was a problem that you didn't believe in God?! That is so stupid! All people can believe in what they want to believe! If not, arrest me as a heretic! jk!

Holy crap, my parents didn't make me read the
bible and stuff because I perfer Buddhism over Chritianity.
    gonk
Hell, my mom encouraged me and took me to meditating sessions. xD
My parents are so awesome when it comes to religion.
I told them I didn't want to get my first communion when I was in
second grade, so they just didn't make me do it.

Don't hate me for that, 'kay?
    gonk

Maybe just take a class for it over the summer or something...

    Mal-Mal-
OMG, I never believed in god, either!
'Course, I had no choice for whether to get baptised or not,
'cause I was like, psh, a baby. :P
But like in Kindergarten, I had to draw a picture of God,
and I asked what God looked like, and they said God is everything.
So I just drew a circle with random crap in it. xD
    Anyway,
when I went to that church-school-thing,
    Kati-something,
I grew really skeptical and I just HATED going there.
I didn't believe in any of it.
Besides like, Jesus being all like, "yo, I exsisted once" and stuff.
So I told my parents, and they were like, "I'm down with that." and yeah.
We don't even go to Church but on Easter and Christmas.

But I really like Buddhism because it's more of a philosophy than
anything else, and they say that there is no such thing as
a living form that is worth more or more powerful spiritually
than a human, aka god and whatnot.
    So yeah.

I know! xD LOL, I never would think that a priest wouldn't babtise a 5 year old, just because she didn't believe it god. It's quite funny acually.

yeah, my parents didn't Baptise me because they wanted me to make that choice on my own, but my dad wants me to understand what Christianity is and what they believe in...boring! He calls it "getting a considered opioin" (however that is spelled) or whatever! My dad wants me to sound intelligent when I talk to someone about religion! WHATEVER! At least reading the Bible will give me something to do over the summer break!
