A friend says that "Those who live in darkness wander aimlessly". And yet...I can't say I agree with that. I live in the Darkness, I despise the Light. And yet...I think I sometimes see more clearly than the Light dwellers. The Darkness has become my friend, my confidate, my refuge, and my lover. I love the Darkness, and it in turn showers me with its affection. The Darkness cloaks me in Her shadow, covering me from the cruel accusations of the world. She protects me from the garish Light of day, and keeps me safe always. I love the Darkness.
Inside, I am depressed, though I act happy. That is the Darkness. And yet, I would give anything to stay far away from the Light.
I say, "Those who reside in the Light are cruelly tortured". It is true, you know. If you live in the Light, you have to keep up appearances, pretend you don't feel things you do, give your life over to the broadening wave of society. Light is not worth the effort. That is why I let the Darkness control me. It loves me. In the Darkness, keeping up appearances in unnecessary. It does not matter to the Darkness how you look, or talk, or act, or ARE. the Darkness loves you unconditionally. No...the Light does not guide you, it kills you. And the Darkness is the refuge that will always protect you from the cruel Light of day...
