Lys is the warmongering heir of the Du'Ver family. To his father's surprise, Lys was born Fiendmarked. Lys' particular mark has given him powers over fire and a temperamental ability to see into other times. As with all Du'Ver Fiendmarked, Lys has a birthmark: a black band around his right ring finger.
Abilities:
Fire Resistance: Approx. 75%
Foresight: Lys experiences visions of the future and past, uncontrollable.
Line of fire: A 60 ft long magmatic line of burning flame energy usable 5 times per day. Deals significant fire damage.
Flame Burst: A 5 ft long cone shaped explosion of fire and kinetic energy blasts out from his palm. Shreds flesh in a manner similar to 100 whip lashes and leaves the flesh smoking.
Equipment:
Overfiend Cuirass: While wearing this armor, Lys' fire and lightning resistance becomes 100%. The armor is also magically durable and light, allowing him to withstand many hits to the body without taking crippling damage. Once per day, the armor can radiate a fiery explosion. While explosion is centered on the wearer, it does no damage to him. It does, however, throw opponents back and deals significant fire damage.
Bracers of Giant Strength: To combat the hyper-powerful foes of Chaos, Lys wears strengthening gauntlets. While they serve to make his attacks very strong, their real use is to keep his arms from breaking under the titanic blows he must sometimes block when dueling creatures outside of Memorial.
Shadowstep cloak: The cloak is tied to living shadows, and is an object of Chaos magic. It allows the user to disappear by passing through even the faintest shadow. The wearer reappears as soon as he begins an attack. At night-time the silk takes on a defensive magical property, and gives him full body protection from the rear while still flowing as normal. The protection is comparable to a tower shield.
Greenfang: Lys' flamberge sword is a legendary Du'Ver weapon, one of the last remaining weapons supposedly wielded by Vansin's own hand. Of those weapons, Greenfang is by far the weakest, though Lys turns its unique ability to deadly use nonetheless. Greenfang constantly leaks a sickly green ichor when unsheathed which infects the bloodstream of a foe like a sedative. Over the course of a battle, Greenfang's poison saps the foe's strength and blurs his vision. The weapon's metal, being made in a previous age, is so magically strengthened that Lys would probably break long before his sword ever would.
