Skyler's history started when he was born, July 28. When he turned seven, he enjoyed looking at pokemon, and helping out his cousin with his pokemon journey. At that early age, he decided to leave home and become a pokemon trainer. He left home and went to Pallet Town, to recieve a starter pokemon. He, like Ash, started out with a Pikachu.
Skyler's goals in Kanto were met, as he completed collecting all 8 badges in a year. He then spent his time training, and participated in Kanto's Pokemon League. He made it to the top 16, but sadly fell.
Skyler then worked on moving on to different area's in pokemon to futher his expertise, making sure only one year was spent in a certain area. Skyler spents his childhood growing up without a "real" family, but he has made excellent pen-pals and friends along the way. Skyler's travels have brought him to places like the Orange Islands, the Battle Frontier, and the Johto and Hoeon regions. He has mad himself a small hut just outside of Twinleaf town, where he stays and helps Proffessor Rowan. He plans on spending much time in Sinnoh before he leaves on his next pokemon journey.
Skyler's strategy as a trainer is very complex. He chooses to catch many types of pokemon, and trianing them to be all equal strength. Then, before a challenge against a gym leader, he picks pokemon that he think can fair the best against the gym leader. He likes to hold off a pokemon's evolution to help make his stratgey a bit more open. Not only that, but his pokemon collection is remarkable!
Skylers special pokemon-
Goron, Skyler's shiny golem. He traded a Shiny Charizard he got as a gift for this Golem. The Golem was caught in a masterball, and had self-destruct, which is self explanitory. Skyler plans to make Goron a part of his team shortly, once he goes up against the Elite 4.Mecha, Skyler's Metagross. Skyler has his own Metang, but this gifted Metagross seems highly efficent. Kite gave him this Metagross as a gift. Skyler is very please to have this Metagross, because it was Kite's prized pokemon.Skylers special friends-
Kite. Skyler met Kite in the Sinnoh region. He was amazed at seeing his Scyther, named Kite. He wanted to see it's strength, so he watched Kite in a furious battle. He learned that Kite's scyther can use Drain Punch. Scythers cannot use drain punch, but with alot of determination, his scyther has been able to perform it's own version. Kite and Skyler talk alot, and Skyler seems to look to Kite as a hero, hoping to one day be strong enough to prove a challenge to the Scyther.
Kage. Also met in Sinnoh, Kage was one of Skyler's first friends. Kage gave Skyler plenty of advice on training his pokemon correctly, as well as motivation. Kage's pokemon collection is vast, just like Skylers. Kage is also a strong battler, and has a passion for making his pokemon strong. Skyler plans on one day being able to show Kage his true power!
Calypso. Calypso is a world renowned pokemon breeder and trainer. She is famous for her special Ninetails, for it is both strong and beautiful. Calypso likes to show he own strengths as she does with her pokemon. Being a top breeder, Calypso owns pokemon we commonly see, but her pokemon are exotic colors, other then what you would normally see. Calypso is a strong trainer and excellent breeder, which is how Skyler hopes to be one day.
