I just had an amazing World of Tanks battle on the Ports map. The southern end of the map is some docks and buildings with a water front. The north end is a construction site.

Generally speaking because of all the buildings on the south side of the map the artillery that spawns on that side doesn't have many good shooting positions that give them an area they can actually cover. In the north eastern corner of the map is an open area with a gravel hill. It gives the artillery good cover from tanks and a good view around most of the map since they can lob shells over the hill. It's a good firing position, but an obvious one.

So on the start of the battle I spawned south in a PZIV medium tank. I moved east with a few tanks and secured the area by the water front from an enemy attack. Most of the fighting was done to the west so I made my way north on the eastern border of the map until I hit the construction site. Sure enough both artillery were there, an M7 priest and a sturmpanzer bison. I shot up the M7 then made my way to the bison. I hit the bison then drove around him and parked behind him so he couldn't turn around. Without a turret he couldn't aim to hit me. I was just about to finish him when an enemy TD that was aiming for me hit and finished the bison off. I didn't get the kill, but I would get the Lucky achievement for it. I guess the TD thought he got me because he turned his attention away from me and started firing on another ally so I pumped a couple shells in his side to finish him off.

After all that a couple heavy tanks double teamed me and killed me. I got 1 kill from a light tank securing the south, killed the M7, and killed the TD before getting destroyed. When I died there were 6 people left on my team and just those two heavies left on the enemy team. They managed to kill the rest of our allied tanks because they cooperated and we didn't so we lost the battle anyway.
