Alright Gaia, I need your help. I need an outside opinion on this. First you will need some background information. I've been in a lot of shitty relationships, used and cheated on and raped twice. I get clingy when I'm in a relationship and I generally don't do well without someone supporting me. I've been single for a year now and one of my friends is home from the military for a month. He and I have flirted a lot and talked about being together a while back while he was a few states away. Now he's going to Korea for a year and then he's out. I really like this guy but I'm kind of paranoid (irrationally I think) that he just wants a fling with me. He hasn't done anything to make me think this but it's a fear nonetheless. I'm willing to try the distance but my best friend/roommate, doesn't think I will be able to handle it at all and that this guy just wants sex and then out. Knowing nothing about the situation and after reading this, what do you think I should do? Any opinions are welcome. Thank you!
