Faith is such a funny thing. We all need it, in one form or another.
I was born Roman Catholic and was such until I moved to Alabama. I then converted to Southern Baptist. (I got better. lol Little joke, no disrespect meant) I converted to appease my ex and her family. I know that's the wrong reason to do so. At the time, i was desperate for acceptance. I wanted them to welcome me and treat me as an equal, I never would receive that.
After I moved back to New Jersey I began to seriously look into my own faith and beliefs. It was a rather interesting journey that led me to, of all things, the Egyptian pantheon. Now, I know most, if not all, that will read this post will go: "Wait, what?" However, yes. I found myself at the door step of the Ancient Egyptian gods.
I am, I believe, unique in my personal religious views. I do not believe any faith is 'wrong'. I believe that all paths lead to the same thing. It do not matter what name or face you put on God. They are all aspects and personal personifications of the same being.
My own? Anubis and Bast. God of Death and Goddess of Life. He is the god responsible for readying one for transformation. She is the goddess of life and protection. Together, they make up what I believe, we are constantly in a state of transformation through our lives and must always be ready to face it.
