She was tough

She was strong

She was unbeatable

But no one approved

His heart would race

His heart would heave

Every time she moved

It took one round just to prove

She was the one at the top

It took only three or four

Just to make them drop

His friend agreed

But not all the way

Sooner or later

There would be a price to pay

She went on

She struggled with some

But always came out on top

Then one day

She met her match

And she was the one to drop

She opened her eyes

There he was

He was right by her side

He was there when she discovered

That her family had lied

She couldn't move

She could only see and speak

But after that day had past

Her temper reached its peak

She was still alive

Air flowing into each lung

But she had had enough

When she decided to bite her tongue

Many a times she tried to escape

She wanted to let go

But he had put his foot down

That's when he told her no

His friend was the one to tell his life

He spoke to her from afar

He also spoke to him

And said that she was a star

At those words

He could not hold back

His decision was clear

He knew what he had to do

And do it with no fear

He went to her and kissed her cheek

He said everything will be fine

And then pulled the plug

The waves became a straight line

That was when his tears fell

Although it felt so wrong

But she would never get the chance

To prove that she was strong

He walked away from everything

And what he made her become

He threw in the towel

And finally said that he was done

So on and on the story goes

The story his friend told

How close they were

To let their bondage go

So all this time

She knocked them down

And he released joyful sighs

As his friend told

Like a messenger

God finally told her

She was looking into her father's eyes
