Looking out the window in a stranger's room
Who is this person? She asks herself as she stares into the painted glass
What have I become?
Memories of a time when we were happy slipping, slipping gone
Kissing you was like tasting
Chocolate, ice and mint- utter bliss
But that time has passed
Can't find that feeling I felt then anymore.
Listen to the rain-drown in your tears.
The night is calm, quiet- full of memories filled with scars and fears
But if you look closely, and listen to the rain fall
Can feel safe and calm as the water falls and runs over stone
The years have separated us, tearing our bonds apart.
Can't seem to recall the place where my heart
Once lay resting in your arms
She steps out into the rain, letting it fall down on her.
Laughing away the tears, smiling through her fears
And let's the rain wash away the memory of chocolate, ice and mint once again
((Some days I can move on without you. Some days, everything reminds me of you. I try to live on even though the very thought of you- makes me break down as the rain falls like teardrops on stone.))
