it wasn't so much the fear of a powerful being but instead the fear of watching everyone she loves die. Slowly and painfully or quick and painless; it didn't matter, she was afraid either way.
The paralysis of fear can be so strong and telling yourself that it's all in your head isn't always effective. Once you recoginise a feeling or a thought, then it is capable of taking you over, consuming you till it's all you think or all you feel. Fear applies to everyday life, some people fear the small things while others the big things but fear is always there in the back of minds, just waiting to be drawn out.
Many things can trigger fear, an action, a spoken word a face, anything can trigger fear. Triggers are sometimes just as important as the fear itself, if you discover the trigger, the reason behind becoming consumed with fear, then does that give you the power to then conquer your fear?
The flight or fight response can relate to fear, what is flight but running? And why do some people run? Because they are afraid.
Fear is only in our minds but its taking over all the time and why because we let it? Because to fear is to be human, to live without fear is to deny your existence, is to deny what it is to be human.
