The girl introduced them to Jackson and Alexis gave a small smile and a short wave, but she honestly didn't care about him, except for the fact he saved her and carried Skylar up the stairs without breaking much of a sweat. The boy set the crutches by the side of the girl's bed along with the meds and then the blonde looked back over at Skylar as she sat for a little bit before grabbing her crutches and looking at everyone. Even though Skylar blames it on Adam, she blamed it on herself. If she had refused becoming engaged to Adam, then them kissing in the closet might not have been so bad. If she had stayed with Josh even though it was really long distance, she might have been better understood and not have been arranged to marry. Rubbing her temples, she tuned everything out for a few minutes and sighed softly, wanting so much just to sleep. Once she realized she'd tuned people out, she started listening again and started paying attention.
As soon as Skylar spoke again, everything seemed to slow down for her. She glared over at Adam and then Adam happened to look up from the carpet, his face growing an expression of concern and anger at the same time with a hint of jealousy. Words came out of his mouth and she watched his lips as he grew more frustrated and angry, he ran out and she didn't know where he was going because his keys were on the bed and her dorm was locked, but she watched him walk out in slow motion. Even a girl like Alexis would over asses things, but it didn't take a genius to see that things weren't over between them. All these years and she still couldn't live up to the way things were between them. Four years and it still wasn't good enough just to love him. Then again, maybe they weren't meant for each other. The thing was, she already had the dress and almost half of the wedding set up. This wasn't her choice, though. It was his choice and she would go along with whatever he wanted because even if they didn't stay together, she would still love him though she would have to move on. She knew they were arranged to get married, but true love was true love, and frankly she had no idea what it was anymore. Sighing, she ran a hand through her hair and closed her eyes. Adam was most definitely a priority, but so was knowing what really happened between them since Adam almost never told her anything, not even after they'd become good friends four years ago.
Rubbing the side of her arm, she looked at Skylar and said, "I need to know what happened between you two so I might be able to understand more." She sat down on the bed again and braced herself for something that may change her perspective on things. It was getting dark out and she very much needed to sleep. Of course she was still going to take the day off tomorrow and maybe go out and have some coffee or get a massage. Probably both. The stress was already overwhelming her and she needed a break. She saw Jackson look between them and then he grabbed his bag and said, "I'll go get ice cream or something." he turned to her and said, "You want anything?" Softly, she shook her head and watched as he walked out, shutting the door behind him.

Jackson waved a little when he was introduced and took out a piece of paper, writing down the correct dosages of medicine. When he turned back around, he saw Skylar was on her feet and Adam was out of the door. Alexis looked genuinely hurt and in deep thought at the same time.
